Michael's Celebration of Life

My dad, Michael Bloomfield, spent most of his life caring for others and being a great husband, father, foster parent, and grandfather. He and my mom ran a daycare for nearly 19 years and helped raise innumerable children.



April 4th, 2015.

On May 15th, my dad was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma (a very aggressive form of cancer that originates in the glands). He was told that he would only have 6 months to a year to live and despite being one of the toughest guys I've known he passed away July 9th, less than two months after his diagnosis.

I am trying to raise funds to help my mom pay for my dad's cremation and a celebration of life in Eugene, Oregon, where the majority of our friends and family live. It would also help us pay for travel expenses for my family to get to the service and any additional money received would help pay for medical expenses from my dad's battle and help my mom take care of her foster children.
