Hi, my name is Eleanor and I am 3 years old. Last week the Dr did some tests and I had to go to a hospital in Newcastle (I was allowed to ride in an ambulance). The Dr's found out that I have acute lymphoblastic leukeamia. I had a bone marrow test last week and started on chemo. We have to be in the hospital for the next 7 weeks for chemo and then we will have to come back every couple of weeks for about 7 months. Then I will need about 3 years to recover. My mummy is also 22 weeks pregnant with my baby brother or sister. My mummy and daddy are taking time off work and study to be with me here at the John Hunter Hospital. The money raised will be used to pay for travel to and from the hospital, food, accomodation, bills and any medical expenses. It would help my mummy and daddy and me a lot because it would mean that we could focus on getting me better instead of everything else like the bills and things.
