Let me start off by saying that Eric is an extraordinary child!! He is just as much a blessing in our lives as we are in his. By no means are we saints because we have decided to care for Eric. He didn’t choose his life. If you’re blessed with a good life, you should always give back to those in need (that’s my philosophy). Eric has spent his whole life in the hospital until just a few weeks ago when 1 of the nurses decided to take him home (and LOVE him as if he was her own). She is truly an incredible woman. Eric is 1 special special child. He is tracheostomy and gastrostomy tube dependent and has been close to death many many times..... we always knew he would pull through. At only ONE years old, he is a fighter and a true survivor!!!  He is 1 of those patients that alwaaaaaays has a smile on his face. His belly laugh is contagious.  He made all the nurses, doctors and therapists in the PICU so happy and we feel so blessed to have taken care of such a sweet child.  He turned our bad days into good days. With that said, the nurse who has decided to foster him has not asked for any help financially and probably never would. That’s why I am setting up this funding page for her. Because she deserves it! Insurance is by no means covering everything. She is currently trying to find someone in the medica field  to help her with Eric a few afternoons during the week while she works. Insurance does not cover this. They also only cover limited medical supplies, no formula, no diapers, no wipes. For us parents, we know how expensive this is! They cover only 4 days of child care (not including transportation that they provide back and forth from home when she needs this). She is going to have to pay for so much out of pocket and she needs your help! Any amount is very appreciated. Thank you so so much!
