Cajas de Esperanza

Who are we?
We are a group of school students from Guatemala concerned about our country's situation. Unfortunately our country ranks among the highest extreme poverty and the pandemic has come to make it even worse. We realized we are part of the privileged people who are living this quarantine with no major consequences. Therefore, we decided to take action and step up for those in need, people in the informal economy earn their lives working day by day, but they no longer have the opportunity to do so.  Most of them are parents of many children who rely on their jobs to bring food each day to the table.

What are we doing?
Our plan is to assemble boxes with basic food supplies and deliver them to these struggling families helping them ease their hunger. The boxes will provide sufficient food for 15 days and within each box, there will be a message of hope and love to remind them that they are not alone.  The gathered donations will help set the boxes and bestow happiness to several families.
