YWAM Gold Coast Experience

Hello friends and family!

I hope this email finds you and your household well and in good health.

As some of you may know, I am embarking on a serious adventure this upcoming January of 2024.

I am flying to Gold Coast Australia where I will be participating in a YWAM (Youth With A Mission) Discipleship Training School (DTS) for 5 months. YWAM is a well established missions program/Bible school that was founded in 1960 and has over 1,200 locations around the world! Their main 3 focuses of each and every base are; evangelism, training, and missions.

The YWAM I’ve chosen is one of their Adventure DTS courses. During the first 3 months (the “lecture phase”), I will be learning more about the Christian faith and deepening my relationship with the Lord, as well as experiencing the many sights and wonders of the eastern coast of Australia with my classmates in the form of surfing, skydiving, snorkelling, mountain biking, and sea kayaking. The final 8 weeks of the course are known as the “outreach phase”. During this time, my group will be leaving Gold Coast for another country (which will be decided prayerfully during the lecture phase), where we will be immersed in the community and learning how to serve those in need just as Jesus did. We'll be helping out in schools and orphanages, providing disaster relief, and working together alongside many other provision and anti-poverty organizations. It is guaranteed to be one of the most impactful parts of this whole experience.

I am beyond excited for this next season of life and I’ve been working all summer and will also be working here in Winnipeg all the way up until my departure. I’m asking now if you would consider partnering with me in this adventure, whether be it through financial support or prayer wise, I can use all the extra help I can get!
