As most of you are aware, Dustin’s whole world changed drastically on Tuesday, November 4th. What started as not feeling well and going to the ER to be checked out, quickly turned into being LifeLined to IU Methodist with an aortic rupture and straight into a lengthy and complex open heart surgery, but the only shot at saving his life.
Dustin had a lot of angels watching over him because he survived something that, even the doctors and nurses at the hospital have said, most don’t. He has successfully been extubated and has been able to communicate. However, his road is far from over. His heart is still very weak, his neurological status is continuing to be evaluated, and he is in total renal (kidney) failure from all of the trauma to his body. The future is unknown for Dustin, but what is known is that he is in for an extremely long road. Aside from the mounting medical bills, Dustin will be out of work for a significant amount of time as he prioritizes recovering. The last thing we want him to have to worry about are finances.
With his family’s blessing, we have started this GoFundMe as a way to give so many that care about Dustin and the Moore Family and have asked “how can I help?” a way to help in the way he will need it most. Some financial breathing room will allow Dustin to fully focus on his health and recovery.
If you are able and wanting to help, we know Dustin and his family would be forever grateful. No amount is too small. If you aren’t financially able to give, but could say a prayer or send a well wishes to Dustin or his family they would appreciate it.
There was a reason Dustin’s story wasn’t finished on Tuesday ❤️ we are #CreekStrong and cheering on your recovery, Dustin!
