Update 6/16/2022: 

Albert is currently home recovering after this brutal attack. He had surgery to fix a torn tendon in his right hand this past Tuesday. He still has to have additional surgery on his right shoulder to reattach his torn bicep muscle. Albert and his wife Yana are so appreciative of all the support from everyone. Hi, my name is Irina and I’m fundraising for my brother Albert and his family, which includes his wife Yana and his eight-month-old son Jacob. Over the past weekend, my brother was brutally attacked by a guy that was recently released on parole. The attack happened in front of his home, in the Dyker Heights section of Brooklyn, New York, with his wife and son helplessly watching. The gruesome attack, left my brother with serious injuries, including a punctured lung. Currently, he is in the hospital in ICU with a chest tube, and has under gone surgery to repair his shoulder muscle. Unfortunately, there will be a long road to recovery, and numerous surgeries to follow. Furthermore, he is the sole provider to his family and will be out of work for an extended period of time.
