Help support baby Button Anderson
Spende geschützt
Meet the Anderson family! Shannon is 21 weeks pregnant and on bedrest in the hospital after a rupture at 20 weeks and a sub chorionic hemorrhage. Doctors have stated the prognosis is very grim with the two complications combined. But there IS hope!
The Anderson family affectionally call their unborn baby "Button." Baby Button is staying strong and overcoming the odds but they have an incredibly difficult battle. The doctors believe that staying on strict hospital bed rest is their best and only chance. At 23 weeks gestation, Shannon will be moved to a hospital further from home that has a NICU that is well equipped to care for a micro preemie. The hope is to prevent delivery until at least 24 weeks but every week improves Button's chance of survival.
The Anderson family have experienced loss and tragedy before. In 2013 their fourth daughter was born premature at 22 weeks due to a similar pregnancy complication. Their daughter, Josephine, was born alive and passed away shortly after birth in their parents' arms so this is especially devastating for their family.
They have a wonderfully supportive family but because they are active duty military, they do not have family nearby. Family members are lined up to fly in to help care for their 5 children but in all likelihood, they cannot stay indefinately. They could use our help in picking up the additional cost of babysitters, food, traveling expenses and gas money, and occasional help with house cleaning. This will be a long journey with Baby Button potentially needing to be hospitalized for several months after delivery. Please consider donating to ease the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time and pray that there will be an accumulation of amniotic fluid levels and no infections. Thank you for your support in helping this amazing family.
