Jordan's Wish

My 12-year old grandson, Jordan, has been diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (IPAH). Currently there is no cure for this disease and only narrow treatment options are available. This disease leads to right heart failure and early mortality.  Jordan is on an extensive medication protocol and travels to Seattle Children's Hospital every two to three months for follow-up testing and monitoring that may lead to a future lung transplant. He is also being looked at for a possible change in diagnosis to Pulmonary Veno-Occlusive Disease (PVOD); a very rare form of genetic pulmonary hypertension, also incurable with even less management options. Due to his condition he suffers severe shortness of breath and pain making it difficult for him to partake in most routine childhood activities and he misses joining in active family outdoor functions. Jordan’s greatest desire is to have some normalcy in his young life; including sharing the chore of clearing the driveway in the Alaska winter with his siblings, as well as a year round fun activity that he could safely participate in.  Jordan's family is praying for a 4-wheeler with a plow attachment to fulfill the wish of this selfless young man, who generously puts his family and the needs of others above his own. A 4-wheeler would allow him to safely join in many outdoor Alaskan activities alongside his family, as well as participate in every day family duties that he now feels isolated from.  Any donations will be humbly and graciously appreciated and will go toward the purchase of a 4-wheeler for Jordan.  We will also be extremely grateful for your prayers and words of encouragement.
