Youth Orphan House in Central Asia

Askar and Nazira, a young couple from Kazakhstan are trying to make a difference. They have been working with young at-risk teenage girls who previously have had no real families to speak of for the past 3 years.

Now, they are seeking to build a new house that can hold up to 8 young ladies.  This project is to assist them in completing the construction.

In this Central Asian country, orphans are taken care of by the state until the age of 16. After that time, young people, often with very few skills and training are required to "make it" on their own. As a result, many fall into criminal activity and human trafficing.

Askar and Nazira assist these young women in making the transition into adulthood by providing a stable home environment that includes helping them complete their education and obtain life skills that will serve them into the future.  One young lady is currently studying at a teacher's university hoping one day to be a teacher.  We want to see this story repeated many times over!

Previously, the Youth House has been on rental property.  Over the past year, Askar and Nazira have been able to purchase property and have now begun construction on a facility that will house both their family and their extended "youth" family.  

They currently have raised funds to lay the foundation and construct the walls.  Construction began in April 2015.  Remaining funds are needed to complete the entire project.  By giving to this project, they can finish the entire facility by August 2015.
