Youth United for Responsible Media Representation

We're a team of young people from Palo Alto who are working together to start a campaign for responsible media portrayals of mental illness and suicide. We know firsthand how suicide can touch a community, and how hard it is to watch the media sensationalize these issues in news reports, magazine cover stories, and TV shows. We are hoping to launch a website and create promotional materials to help us get our message out there and communicate directly with members of the media, but as a small group of high schoolers & college students, we lack the funds to do so.
