On July 9, my wife, Lynda, fell down a flight of stairs and suffered a spinal cord injury, rendering her paralyzed from the waist down. She spent forty days in the hospital and is about to be released to an assisted living facility, after two weeks of intensive therapy in a rehabilitation center.
