Younity Gardens: Lawns For Moms
Younity Gardens: 'Lawns for Moms' is a new initiative coordinated by the community pillar of Full Blüm. Our mission is to acquire donated lawns (front or backyards) from local Winnipegers, to then convert into urban gardens. We will be growing produce & vegetables for single mothers so they can feed their growing children healthy & nutritious food, grown with love.
We believe that children are the future we need to focus on and that a healthy & nutritious diet is imperative to their mental, emotional and physical development & well-being. Typically children who are dealing with parental separation or the loss of a father, are dealing with more psychological challenges than we can sometimes understand. By providing these children with proper food we can support & nourish their experience through life.
We also believe in supporting moms & and the divine feminine. Mothers shouldn't have to decide between paying rent and buying healthy or unhealthy food for their children.
We're asking for donations and looking for materials to help keep this project as low cost as possible and to get things off the ground in a initial phase.
Money raised with this campaign would go towards:
- Materials & Supplies
- Business Admin costs
- Volunteer shirts
- Seeds , Soil & Vegetables
- Marketing & print: to single moms & partnering homeowners
- Administration & Coordination
- Supporting single mothers
We're looking for supplies and materials to get this project off the ground! If you don't have any supplies or materials to donate, we've created a GoFundMe so you can still contribute. We're also looking for leads on other organizations, supply depots, etc that may be able to help us outsource cheaper materials.
