Young kids in need.

On August 24th, my 3 nieces and my nephew were placed in our home, in Seabrook, after spending three months at a foster facility. They were removed from their mother's care due to her drug addiction which lead to the negligent death of their brother this past February. Two days after they arrived at our home, our laundry room with all their clothing was ruined due to flooding from Harvey. Any attempt to get assistance from the state has lead to no answers and they suggest we pay money we don't have out of pocket to become licensed fosters. The out of pocket expenses equal just under 2000 dollars. Due to my husband not being able to work for almost three weeks during and after Harvey, not only are we financially drained but we are behind on all bills and rent. Any assistance is helpful and will go towards bills, school supplies, uniforms and all the required tests and classes to become state certified foster parents so we can finally get the help we were told we would have. Our goal is to provide stability for children who have never had it. They have gone through physical, emotional and even some sexual abuse. We just want to be able to give them the life they deserve. We also need to upgrade from a 3 bedroom home to a 4 bedroom home as we now have 6 children, including our own one and nine year olds. It is our hope, that with the help of compassionate and generous people, these children will thrive and grow into confident and successful adults we can be proud of. We are hoping to be able to adopt all four in 7 months when their CPS case closes. I thank you for taking the time to read this and hope that whatever blessings you give come back to you some day.
