You in Africa - Ruiru's kitchen

You in Africa is a non-profit organization committed to nourishing and educating children in five communities in Kenya: THIKA, Makuyu, Ruiru, Cheptulu, and Kibera. Currently, we operate makeshift kitchens on borrowed grounds, facing challenges such as lack of protection during rains and intense heat.

Our urgency lies in Ruiru, where children eat in the mud when it rains, resulting in unsanitary conditions. Our fundraiser aims to build an improved kitchen in Ruiru, equipped with a wood-burning stove, doors, and windows to shield our cooks from smoke. Additionally, we are planning a covered dining area, ensuring a safe environment for meals, and eventually, a studio to accommodate volunteers interested in supporting our project.
