Starting Over

2020 has had challenges for everyone. All 3 of us discovered in March my husband/their dad has been unfaithful after 2 years of dating and 29 years of marriage. My oldest daughter has faced daily challenges since she was 5 years old with her learning disabilities/anxiety and is now in year 2 of recovering from anorexia. All 3 of us were blindsided by his actions and then the pandemic hit.  College classes were moved to virtual, day cares were closed so the oldest began virtual teaching for her class of 3 year olds, and I kept the 3 of us together while still having to live with him daily. The week before Thanksgiving when you think it can’t get worse we had to make the decision to euthanize our 13 year old Cocker Spaniel as her cancer had spread (she would have been 14 in December 2020).  9 months after the discovery it’s time for us girls to move on and proceed with the next step.  This fundraiser is to pay the attorney fees for a divorce. I’m hoping for a straight forward divorce but planning for the worst case. As a first time single mother with 2 adult children living at home funds are stretched.  1 child attends a local university full-time and works 2 part-time jobs serving the community we live in and the other teaches at a preschool. Over the years all 3 of us have been involved with Girl Scouts and Community Service and continue to serve our community. Any donation would be appreciated to offset the costs of a divorce and continued individual counseling.
