The Blankenship Family

Hi, my name is Melissa and I am asking for help for the Blankenship Family. On September 28, 2023, my brother-in-law, Colin Blankenship, suffered from a Massive Heart Attack at the age of 56. After two minutes of being non-responsive, Sutter Coast, in Crescent City, California was able to revive him and Life-Flighted him to Medford, Oregon. He had a 20% chance of survival with 100% blockage of his heart. They were able to put a stent in. He remained on LIFESUPPORT, with a heart pump (impella) until October 1, after they were able to get him stable enough to remove his heart pump and finally the breathing tube on October 3.

This page is set up to request support for Colin and his family while he recovers from such a life threatening medical emergency. Colin and his family will be financially burdened during his healing process, as he still faces a long road to recovery and Rachel has her own disability preventing her from working. Please help with the cost of such financial burden and stress on their family, if you can.

Update:::

They are looking at discharging Colin on Sunday or Monday. Rachel has arranged for them to stay at the Cheney House (lodging for patients and families from out of town) next to the hospital for a couple of days after discharge, so that they have access to good medical before they go home. Hopefully Colin will be home Wednesday or Thursday.

He continues to show improvement every day. We are so grateful, humble and blessed.♥️

Colin is being discharged today, 10/8. The Cheney house has a room reserved for us, so we will be going there for a couple of days, before we go home!
