Yes Street Posters

A little while ago, almost every agency in Australia agreed to not do any creative or marketing work for anyone promoting a "NO" vote for the upcoming Marriage Equality Plebiscite.  We at Cuckoo Creative think this is great start, but just sitting back and not doing anything is not enough for us.  

There are literally hundreds of people that we work with and thousands in our collective social circles that would be affected if this plebicite "YES" vote fails.  We need to make sure this doesn't happen.

After Trump and Brexit, we know that the younger demographic are the danger zone.  We need to get them to act.  If we can do that we will be safe and the "YES" vote will win.

We've seen plenty of posters and social media profile graphics that are floating around and one of the things that irks us is that almost all of them have someone's branding on them.  From unions, to schools, to corporates.  We don't think this is something that people should hitch their wagon to.  We think the push should be anonymous and universal.

But we do think there needs to be more done.  

We think there should be posters, big posters.

We think they should be everywhere.

While we at Cuckoo Creative are happy to do the creative, design and planning, we can't afford to pay for them by ourselves.  

We need some help. That's where you come in.

We want to put up a rock poster campaign to support the vote "YES" campaign.  Rock posters are the ones you see posted under bridges and all over the place that people see from trains, cars, trams busses and bikes.

Our first goal is to put 250 1000mmx1400mm posters in both Sydney and Melbourne.  500 posters in total. One creative execution. For one week.  This will cost us $6,776 including GST

Our stretch goals will be to go to the other states, increase the duration, and increase the number of executions.

Goal #3 $24,440 800 posters MEL[250], SYD[250], BRS[100], PER[50], ADL[50] for 4 weeks

The image in this campaign is not our creative.  It's just a placeholder.  We have worked up a series of great executions and the team is currently deciding which one we would like to put up.

100% of the funds raised will go towards the printing and distribution costs associated with getting the posters  up. Cuckoo Creative will underite the capaign costs associated with GoFundMe[7.5% of funds raised]

The timeline is tight.  We need your commitment ASAP.  We hope to have the first round of posters going up over the weekend of the 9th and 10th of September.

We know the vote will be tight.  We need to mobilise as many people as possible.  This could very well make the difference between the vote getting up or down
