I am so excited to finally announce some very beautiful, life-changing, good, good news.
.
I've started the adoption process!
.
I’ve typed & revised & deleted & retyped & rewritten and deleted again so many sentences that incompletely express the joy I am feeling or reflect on how faithfully God has brought me to this path. All the nerves aflutter inside my chest feel like resounding clangs & the lingering echoes of exclamation points finalizing this phrase that is endlessly replaying in my head: I get to be a mama!
.

.
There is so much to share of this beautiful life that has brought me here.
.
There are so many words I could write about my journey this far. The far-reaching history & a tangled web woven. The delicate spindles I walk on. I could write about the children I've known, the children I love, & the imprint of their hearts on my own. I could write about the countless ways I've changed & grown & learned & discovered so much of myself these past three years of life. I could write about the things I have seen, the hardship, the sorrow, grief as children wait & hope & ache for family, & I could speak to the joy that comes as those prayers are realized for so many.
.
In equal turn, there are so many hopes & prayers & dreams to share that I have for this future I am building for my child & for our family. All the love, all the laughter, all the beauty of days to come.
.
There is so much to say, so much to write down, & though I definitely have the propensity to be exhaustingly long-winded, for now, I’ll just say PRAISE THE LORD. Hopefully soon I will share all the beautiful intricate, delicate, wondrous, surprising lines of my life that He’s knit together to bring me here.
.
As I step onto this path, one thing is absolutely and totally evident: I cannot do this alone.
.
I need support, prayers, guidance, encouragement, conversation, friendship, kindness, love. It takes a village to raise a child, & I know it will take a village to help me become a mother.
.
That's why I've started a GoFundMe Page! I am expecting that it will cost about 7,000 to 8,000 USD to bring my child home & to complete the adoption process here in India.
.
The greatest way you can support me is to donate what you can, to pray, & to share my story with your friends & family!
.
Thank you all so much for your consideration & help!
