El viernes 23 de abril, nuestro hermano Michael se vio involucrado en un grave accidente automovilístico camino al trabajo que lo dejó en estado crítico. Michael fue admitido en el Natividad Medical Center, donde está siendo sometido a un tratamiento extenso. A partir de ahora, sabemos que sufrió una fractura de peroné, cadera, rodilla, fémur, codo, brazo, vértebras inferiores y 3-4 costillas; su estómago se ha mantenido abierto para controlar cualquier posible hemorragia interna (ahora cerrado); se necesitarán placas de soporte en su caja torácica para detener la respiración dolorosa; y tiene un tubo insertado en su pulmón. Tenía hemorragia en el hígado y hasta ahora ha recibido 6 unidades de sangre. Ayer se realizaron dos cirugías, dos hoy, dos para mañana y al menos una más para el lunes.
Como pueden imaginar, nuestra familia está devastada y sufriendo por lo desconocido. Agradecemos enormemente cualquier ayuda que podamos obtener para las facturas médicas, fisioterapia y otros gastos que se deriven de este accidente. Por favor, mantengan a Michael en sus pensamientos y oraciones para que pueda salir adelante lo más rápido posible.

On Friday, April 23rd, our brother Michael was involved in a severe car accident on his way to work that has left him in critical condition. Michael was admitted to Natividad Medical Center where he is undergoing extensive treatment. As of now, we know that he sustained a broken fibula, hip, knee, femur, elbow, arm, lower vertebrae, and 3-4 ribs; his stomach has been kept open to monitor any possible internal bleeding (now closed); support plates will be needed in his rib cage to stop the painful breathing; and has a tube inserted into his lung. He had bleeding of the liver and has received 6 units of blood so far. Two surgeries were performed yesterday, two today, two are scheduled for tomorrow, and at least one more is scheduled for Monday.
As you can imagine, our family is devastated and suffering through the unknown. We greatly appreciate any help we can get for medical bills, physical therapy, and other expenses that will come from this accident. Please keep Michael in your thoughts and prayers so he can pull through as quickly as possible.
