For several months, Black Lives Matter Los Angeles and Black Lives Matter Long Beach has engaged in protest at the Torrance City Council meetings to demand justice for the murder of #ChristopherDeandreMitchell who was killed on December 9, 2018 by two Torrance Police officers. This Black-led, ally supported weekly action led to the release of video footage of the encounter with police and his family is demanding the public release of the officer names, as well as accountability for their lethal use of force. 

On May 14, 2019, protesters were arrested at the Torrance City Council meeting and now bail funds are needed.  Please donate generously.
