On October 16 2019 Matt was diagnosed with a DNET brain tumor. After 2 years of monitoring the tumor it was decided it was time to operate to try and remove the tumor. His first craniotomy was performed on Feb 2 2021. This surgery was unsuccessful and after suffering from seizures for the last 2 years with anti-seizure medication not helping to control them, a new neurosurgeon at the University of Cincinnati Hospital feels the only relief Matt will get is to remove the majority brain tumor. He is confident that he will be able to remove at least 90% of the tumor. Matt will undergo a 2nd craniotomy on Aug. 29th.
