Dominica Hurricane Maria Relief
Donation protected
My name is Jefferson Eusell. I'm a native of the Caribbean island of Dominica living in Seattle, Washington. On Monday, September 18th, Hurricane Maria hit Dominica with little warning. It quickly escalated to a category 5 hurricane with winds nearing 160 MPH, making it the most devastating hurricane in Dominica's history. Maria caused massive destruction to my island. It is estimated that 80% of the buildings on the island lost their roof in the hurricane. Most of my family members live in Dominica in dwellings that likely did not make it through the storm. Communications on Dominica are still down and I'm anxiously awaiting reports about the status of my family post storm. I am raising money to provide emergency support for my extensive family in Dominica and to help them with rebuilding and/or relocation. The situation in Dominica is urgent and I greatly appreciate anything you can do to support my relief efforts.
