Animal Rescue Rehabilitation Room

My name is Kim Ellis and I run  Texas Reptile and Small Animal Rescue .  I have been doing this for over 25 years.  We take in all reptiles and small animals and birds.  We never turn an animal away and we do not euthanize unless there is no other option.   We will even have animals shipped to us in order to provide care for them.  Over the last year we have taken in more animals and more species.  Our Quarantine room works great but i have to move things around every week and struggle to make room for all the sick animals.  Many of the sick animals are with us for months.  We are raising money to build out the room to make use of the space we have.  We will add shelving and enclosures all around the outside of the room.  We will have different types to accommodate all the various animals we get in.  We will need some for birds, mammals and reptiles.   I am hoping to have this built out by the end of the year.  I want to spend more time taking care of the sick animals we get in and less time reconfiguring the room.  I am so blessed to have a great group of friends that have helped us out.  Having this space optimized will make a huge difference in my ability to care for these precious babies!  

We have been blessed to be on Animal Cops Houston on two occasions and that experiences has made us even more dedicated to this effort.
