Hey Everyone ,
Have you thought of making a street child feel special this Christmas? Well here is an opportunity!
Sending you all greetings from Uganda. Allow me to thank you for your generous support towards our work with the street children in the slums of Kisenyi. You really make us go a step further in making a difference in the lives of the children we reach out to.
We wanted to let you know that we are planning to throw a Christmas party on December 17th for the street children we work with in the slums. We hope to take care of over 600 children and would like to raise some money towards the event. We think $2000 will be needed to cover the costs for the venue, some tents and chairs,
feeding the children and getting them clothes, shoes , candy, refreshments, toys and of course some presents!
We are also using this platform to lift the talents among the street children. The children will sing, dance and act about their life on the streets. They will do gymnastics, and general interactive sessions. We are hoping to invite health workers to do HIV/AIDS testing, counselling the children on different issues, and of course volunteers and partners are welcome. It will one of our last slum outreach programmes in 2016.
We are kindly requesting friends who have the heart of helping and getting involved to network and partner with us towards making this a success. All donations are welcome! Every little bit helps and could take us a long way!
