We have been devastated over the loss of a beautiful man who was not only a friend but a part of our Echoes of Hope Family. George Lee, the father and grandfather of six youth in our EoH programs, sadly passed away last Friday after a long, arduous battle with COVID-19.
George was the kindest, most loving, generous, joyous, and hardworking man you could ever know—and his wife, four children, and two grandchildren were the light of his life. George put his family first and always worked hard to ensure that his children would have a successful life by getting the best education.
George worked 21-years in the Lexus Club at Staples Center, during Los Angeles Kings, Lakers, and Clippers games, all major concerts, and 29-years at Dodger Stadium, as well as at local restaurants and a hotel, all alongside his wife, Rose.
George and his beloved Rose became friends with our founders, Stacia and Luc Robitaille, in 1999 when they met at a Kings game. Their beautiful friendship led to his children joining the Echoes of Hope family over seven years ago.
To know George was to love him. His happy, pure-hearted spirit was one-of-a-kind, with an infectious smile that he shared freely and often with anyone who crossed his path. His stories and fast-talking would never fail to bring laughter and joy to one's heart, and his genuine concern for others made this world a better place. George will be so profoundly missed by his family, friends, co-workers, and those he served.
The Lee family has greatly suffered during this pandemic. In serving others for a living, George and his wife have not been able to work for almost a year, and Rose endured an illness and is still undergoing health issues, and now has to relocate their home of 27-years.
