Morgan's Breast Reduction

I was a C-cup in second grade.  In third grade (age 9), my teacher accused me of stuffing my bra, and made me take off my shirt in front of her.  

In high school, I was teased often for my then size DD breasts. It was then that I began to notice just how much they slowed me down during physical activitiy. When I was 14, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. My life of constant pain began.

My breasts continued to grow until my early thirties. I am now a size HH. I have relentless pain in my back, shoulders and neck; two bulging disks and arthritis.


This corset actually makes my breasts look smaller than they really are. 

You might think that it's fun having big breasts, but my doctor said that having breasts my size is like carrying around two ten-pound weights around my neck all the time.

Miraculously, after denying back surgery several times, my health insurance company approved my reduction surgery right away. But even with insurance paying 90%, our out-of-pocket responsibility is over $1000.
On August 17th, 2015, my body will be transformed. It's a scary and exciting time for me. I will be comfortable in my own skin, probably for the first time ever. The only problem is, I'm going to need an entirely new wardrobe, including new bras, shirts, and dresses. That's what this fundraiser is for.

This is my favorite dress. After my surgery, it won't fit anymore, like most of my tops, and all of my bras.

I am hoping to go from a size HH to a size C-D. But his isn't just about how I will look. It's the beginning of a total transformation.  Once I get this weight off my chest, my back pain will diminish, and I will be able to exercise and lose weight. I am legally disabled, and I have been unemployed for almost seven years, primarily because of my back pain. I want to get back out there in the world and be a better me.
