Our goal is to raise $120,000 to purchase or build a new public rescue facility. We would give onsite educational programs and continue to offer internships, volunteer opportunities and employment possibilities. We would incorporate connected indoor-outdoor enclosures with live vegetation offering life like refuges for animals such as foxes, a kinkajou, parrots, tortoises and iguanas!
Kingdom Animalia Exotic Animal Rescue is an educational-based 501c3 non profit that was founded in 2012. We have taken in 1,400 animals which include reptiles, amphibians, birds, small animals, and invertebrates . We use some to educate while adopting the rest out to loving homes. Our mission has three parts: Rescue, rehabilitation, and education. We serve as a resource to local police departments, nature centers, the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary, schools, and the community. As one of the only exotic resources in this area, we have large volumes and an even larger overhead.
We currently lease a building in Hobart, WI but are only able to meet by appointment. The need has proven to be great. We would be capable of offering so much more to the community if we had a more well suited space. People could walk through and enjoy the facility inside and out and have the chance to learn while having one of a kind experiences with animals they don't get to see every day!
We also work with local and national environmental organizations to raise awareness for responsible pet ownership and protecting the environment.
