More information about Proving Innocence: To free people who are wrongfully accused or convicted and imprisoned for crimes they did not commit, by developing proofs to support their claims of actual innocence. Proving Innocence will complement the nation's innocence projects or defense counsel by: (1) funding investigators, (2) providing video documentaries of wrongful convictions, (3) supporting structural reform, and (4) helping exonerees connect with post-release services to facilitate their return to society.
