WoTCon: A Brand New Wheel of Time Fan Convention

 

 

What Is WoTCon?

 

WoTCon is a brand new Wheel of Time Convention created for and run by fans of the Wheel of Time!

 

WoTCon will be an in-person event held in Columbus, Ohio on July 8-10 for fans of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time book series, as well as the Amazon Studios adaptation of the books also called Wheel of Time.

 

The goal is to bring hundreds of fans of the book and television series together for a weekend of fun, camaraderie, and geeking out about our collective favorite characters and stories! We are striving to create an environment where fans and creators can directly interact and foster deeper bonds within the entire community. The hope is to give fans in-person engagement and give creators a platform to put their content in front of new audiences.

 

WoTCon will be an event, unlike anything the fandom has yet seen! We can't announce all of the details of the programming just yet, but WoTCon will have entertainment, scripted programming, live recordings from your favorite creators, and the chance to be PART of the content!

Tickets will go on sale as soon as we near our fundraising goals!

 

 

Who's Behind WoTCon?

 

WoTCon is being organized by a group of more than 35 Wheel of Time content creators and fans. We are all veterans of other conventions and fan activities and wanted to band together to create something special for the community. We have YouTube creators, Podcasters, bloggers, journalists, and some diehard fans working together to put on the most engaging and FUN event possible.

 

Why Do We Need Your Help?

 

So, why are we here on GoFundMe? Well, it takes a lot of money to start a convention! There are quite a few startup costs associated with getting a large event like this off the ground and given that we don't have revenue from last year to start as seed money for this year, we could use your help!

 

Any money you donate will be used to secure the event space, incorporate the event, get the necessary insurance, and move toward our Guest of Honor Fund. The more we are able to raise, the more special celebrity guests we will be able to get for the convention.

 

Additionally, we'll be able to subsidize costs to keep the cost lower for the convention itself.
