Working in Malawi

Hi everyone! 

Thank you so much for taking the time to read through my story. 

My name is Paris, I am 22 and I live in Surrey. For those of you who don’t know, I am a football coach for Little Kickers. (football fun sessions for children aged 18 months - 7 years old). I have worked for little kickers for over 5 years now and I absolutely love what I do. I am creating this fundraising page because I have been chosen to become a Little Kickers ambassador - meaning that on the 21st of March 2020 I will be travelling to Africa in partnership with the AMAZING 'SPARKLE MALAWI FOUNDATION' to coach and volunteer care for orphaned and vulnerable young Children of Malawi.

As a Little Kickers ambassador I am required to fundraise a minimum of £500 / as much money as possible before my departure to aid the amazing work of the Sparkle Malawi Foundation, in addition to providing equipment and costs needed to keep me safe during my travel. ( Vaccinations, Malaria/Cholera precautions, Visas, etc. )

Malawi is one of the poorest countries in Africa, with over 530,000 known orphaned children aged 0-17. With the funds raised, donated and volunteer work provided, The Sparkle Foundation are able to continuously provide; education, exercise, healthcare (including regular vaccinations), food, clean water, life skills and love to the young orphaned children and surrounding communities of Malawi. Sparkle also focus on providing volunteers to work with local adults, training them in life skills such as building, nursing, plumbing, teaching, and in my case : childcare and sport. They save and better the lives of helpless individuals every single day. This crucial work means that the community is strengthening and is able to keep building and become more independent for the future.

I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity, and to represent Little Kickers, but most of all to be able to help a small foundation who are making a BIG change to thousands of young lives.
