Support the Woodstock Pantry Build Project

Donación protegida
The Woodstock Pantry in SE Portland is transitioning from our temporary facility into a new permanent location!

We are building a brand new pantry structure, thanks to grant funding from Lowe's, Oregon Food Bank, SE Uplift, the Episcopal Bishop of Oregon Foundation, individual donors, and other local community organizations. In order to complete the buildout to more effectively serve out neighbors, the Woodstock Pantry needs to raise $100,000. Our goal is to complete the renovation and launch the new and improved Woodstock Pantry in early 2024. (The pantry will continue to operate throughout the construction project.)

With the onset of the pandemic in 2020, the Woodstock community recognized the need for a food pantry in their neighborhood. The community took collective action to create the Woodstock Pantry. "We were honored to partner with our community to help meet the ever-growing needs of our neighbors. It was the right time and the right thing to do," shared Andria Skornik, priest at All Saints Episcopal Church.

Community organizations and neighbors gifted their resources and time to serve neighbors. Using space donated by the church, the community installed a temporary shipping container in the All Saint's parking lot to store food and supplies. Now, the Woodstock Pantry is open every Friday and Saturday (from 10:00am to 2:00pm) and has served more than 20,000 individuals since its inception in 2020. The pantry is essential part of meeting the ever-growing needs of our community.

*Currently, the Pantry serves 1,100+ people per month and as many as 300 people each week
*Demand has increased by 102% in the last 6 months alone
*We give out an average 4,000 pounds of food per week!

All Saints Episcopal Church is committed to transforming the Woodstock Pantry into a permanent, sustainable food source for our area. The transformation project has two goals:

1) Serve food to our neighbors with a permanent structure to store food, equipment, and supplies.

2) Nurture our community as a place where people care for each other and demonstrate that care through collaboration and collective action to fight food insecurity.

We are excited for this next phase, as we continue this important work in our community. Thanks in advance for your support, we appreciate every single one of you.
