REINSTATE THE WOODCREEK PARK SIGNAGE

First off, thank you for visiting our GoFundMe page. The Woodcreek Park Neighbourhood Association is asking for your help to raise funds for a new sign to be mounted on the angled section of fence at top of Oceanview Drive, opposite the Whispering Firs Park entrance.

When Woodcreek Park was first developed, there were two beautiful signs between brick pillars, one on either side of Oceanview Drive, welcoming residents and visitors alike to the neighbourhood.  Though only “old-timers” will remember them, those signs gave us a sense of identity, a personality.  One sign was torn down some years ago for highway improvements. The other was vandalized and eventually the letters that spelled out the name of our neighbourhood, Woodcreek Park, were removed, and we became a nameless subdivision between the trailer park and the cemetery.

An entrance sign is the first thing you notice about a neighbourhood. Reinstating our neighbourhood signage will go a long way toward creating a good first impression, helping visitors easily find us, and restoring our sense of community.

We are working with a local sign designer to come up with a beautiful new sign. We’re looking forward to once again being known as Woodcreek Park!

Thank you in advance for your donations and for sharing this fundraiser amongst your friends and family. Every little bit counts!
