Ortega family medical funds

First off I would like to thank each and every one of you just for taking the time to read this. My name is Candice Caetano. My brother in law, Manuel (Manny) Ortega and 8 year old nephew, Manuel, were injured pretty badly when a drunk driver drove a car into my nephew'a room at 2:00am.
Manny occasionally sleeps in bed with his 8 year old son because he and
my twin sister have. 5 month old baby. Manny tends to snore and keep the baby from getting adequate amounts of sleep. Thankfully, that night Manny was in bed with Manuel because if not the crash would have killed my 8 year old nephew. The car came crashing thru the wall the bed was against and trapped Manny under the car causing his lung to collapse, fracture 8 ribs, causing lacerations on his liver that lead to internal bleeding, fractures on his T-spine, a deep 4inch laceration on his foot that got broken and second-third degree burns on his other foot from the hot oil dripping on his foot while being helplessly trapped. Manuel broke his tibia from being thrown from the bed and into the wall. My sister and her family went to bed thinking they were going to wake up the safe and healthy family they went to bed as. Manny is the head basketball coach for Manuel's ceres basketball league. Manuel bravely went to the game in his cast and wheelchair to cheer his teammates on. Manny was released 8 days later from a Modesto hospital only to be told he will need to be at UC davis on the following week to be seen at the burn unit. Manny is going to undergo surgery on his foot with many more to follow. After the operations he will eventually receive extensive therapy to help regain mobility and hopefully feeling. Unfortunately, Manuel's room does not look like a little boys room. It looks like something from a bad movie. The whole entire wall is missing from the car being fully lodged into the room. Manny will be out of work, the medical bills will add up due to insurance only covering their parts and the house needs remodeling. Any help they can get for medical funds, gas money to drive back and forth from UC davis and doctor's appointments for both, groceries and the heating bill as it is winter time and the hole is only poorly boarded up.
