Winter Kits for homeless
The corner of hope is an outreach ministry for those who are still living on the streets. Many homeless people do not trust shelters (due to past experiences) or are not ready to abstain from alcohol and drugs (the Rescue Mission is a drug and alcohol-free facility) so they choose to stay in their cars, under bridges, in dangerous abandoned buildings or homes, etc.. However, we saw that this was a great opportunity to reach out and let them know that we still care.
Since winter is coming up we want to create winter care kits for them that consist of items such as jackets, blankets, socks, etc. As the weather begins to drop the number of visitors to the Corner of Hope will increase. This is a great time to prepare for the need that is coming!
thank you for your help, God bless
