Winnetka History Eagle Project Alexander Orsic

My name is Alexander Orsic and I am a Life Scout in Winnetka, Troop 20. For my Eagle Project I am making signs to place around Winnetka at historical or important locations. The signs will have a QR code on them that can be scanned with a phone or iPad to take you to a video of Troop 20 scouts explaining the history and significance of that location. This project will benefit the Winnetka Historical Society and all of Winnetka residents and visitors. I am hoping to get this done while the weather is still good, so that teachers can use it for an outdoor learning project since kids won't be in school full time. The funds will be used for supplies for the signs, such as the posts, wood, finishes (stains/lacquers), or professional fabrication if necessary. The sign below is a prototype of one potential sign that I am working on with the Winnetka Public Library, the final cost depends on what kind of sign all of the property owners agree on and whether I can make it or it needs to be fabricated. I am working on the project now, and beginning to have expenses already so any donations would be appreciated. Any unused funds will be donated to the Winnetka Historical Society. I am excited about this project and the modern way it can bring history to a new generation and am grateful for the support from the community, family, and friends.
