Spende geschützt
Hi Everyone- Thank you for checking out Trevor's page! I hope by starting this page we can both help Trevor and Sarah offset some expenses associated with cancer/chemo and keep you all informed in one central location. Often times we want to help friends and don't know how or what they need, here we can provide a place where you can help Trevor and Sarah directly if you should want to. Thank you in advance for your help whatever it might be, prayers, meals, gift cards or financially.
Trevor's story- In October Trevor was diagnosed with stage 1 Testicular cancer and had surgery a week later to remove the tumor. The test results came back that he had to 2 types of cancer Seminoma and teratoma and the it was all incapsulated in the tumor and had not spread. He would follow up every three months with blood and CT scans for the next 5 years. On his 3 month blood test his LDH was still elevated and he was told not to worry yet as many things can affect the numbers and no other tumor markers were raised. At his 6 month CT scan he had enlarged lymph nodes and was asked to do more blood, which was also elevated, but only the LDH and again no other tumor markers were elevated. When we saw the oncologist he was unsure what the confusing information was saying so he ordered more blood and a full body scan. Blood came back normal but CT scan still showed enlarged lymph nodes near the left side of his kidney in the "peri-aortic" region. The doctor ordered a biopsy on 5/24 and on 5/29 he was told the biopsy came back positive for seminoma cancer and he will begin chemo after a few tests. At this point we are waiting to see the doctor on Friday to learn more. What we do know at this point is that he has been told he has stage 2 testicular cancer and that the chemo will be very difficult and he will have to be off work for 6 months for treatment and it will take him another 6 months to recover and get back to his old self again. There are some serious side affect that do warrant alot of prayer, such as permeant lung damage and neuropothy. Please join us in caring for and praying for Trevor, Sarah and Williow during this time!
