Willow Street Relief & Recovery Fund
Donation protected
During the early morning of November 8th, our friends on Willow Street were awoken by the sound of smoke alarms going off around them in their house. We are so lucky to say that no one was hurt during the fire and everyone made it out safely. Unfortunately, Alex, one of the roommates and a dear friend to all of us, lost his one year old black lab, Atlas. Atlas was the life of the party here in Kent from the moment Alex brought him home as a puppy. This very good boy will be missed so much.
Between the fire and smoke damage, many belongings have been lost and the house is currently unlivable, currently leaving the roommates without a home in Kent. This one of a kind blue house on Willow Street is a place that for years, students at Kent State have made unforgettable memories, everlasting friendships and holds a special place in many of our hearts. We are asking for donations so that we may help the boys replace their belongings, which they lost due to the fire and damage. The Kent State community is one that is always more than willing to help and that is something we love most about Kent. The memories made on Willow Street will forever be irreplaceable and most importantly, something that cannot be taken away from us. We are so thankful our friends are safe and hope that with your help, we can be there for them in any way during this difficult, unexpected time. We thank you in advance for any contribution and truly appreciate your generosity and kind words. Like always, flashes take care of flashes. William is withdrawing to a personal bank account, and will be dispersed evenly among all members of the house
