Hi friends, join me in making a difference by supporting a good cause! I'm raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust and any donation will help make an impact. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause which means so much to me.
I am running the Barcelona marathon in March, along with my dad and brother in order to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust.
My girlfriend was diagnosed with bowel cancer at aged 24, which came as a complete shock as 90% of patients with bowel cancer are aged 50 and over. In what was a really difficult time, Teenage Cancer Trust were there for us and made a difficult journey easier. She endured fertility treatment, two surgeries and the mental impact of a cancer diagnosis however the help she received from this charity was fantastic. She was provided with counselling, and had support workers who were there for her during all of her hospital appointments. They visited her during hospital bringing snacks and gifts and visited her at home once she was out to offer their help. She has said her journey would have been a lot harder without the help from Teenage Cancer Trust.
This is truly a great charity who offered a lot of support to my girlfriend when she was diagnosed , and to other young people aged 16 -24 who are facing this horrible disease. They provide emotional and financial support, from attending hospital appointments, at home visits, grants, and trips to the spa, zoo, football games etc which can really help those who are struggling and gives people a chance to speak to others who are in the same situation.
I would love to give back to this charity and help them support other people along their journey, and any help would be greatly appreciated.
