On September 14th, William had several seizures out of the blue. He was taken to Primary Children’s Emergency Room, and after many tests and an MRI, a brain tumor was discovered. There was hope that it was just swelling from his seizures, but another MRI six weeks later confirmed the bad news. It was in fact a tumor. The doctors believe it is a slow growing cancer. It’s in a tricky area that controls his speech and motor skills, so his surgery, which is scheduled for Tuesday, February 27th, will be done under an intraoperative MRI, to give him his best chance of retaining those functions. A biopsy will be done to determine the type of tumor and the next course of action for William for his recovery and future medical treatment.

Will brightens any room and has a laugh and smile that melts hearts. He loves PJ Masks, Peppa Pig, riding his bike and running, and lives every day to the absolute fullest.
