Wilde Lake Trash Can Makeover Plan
Donation protected
My Eagle Scout project is to benefit my high school, Wilde Lake in Columbia. The goal of this project is to provide permanent structures for trash collection on the WLHS practice fields which are used not only by our own athletes, but also by Parks and Rec teams, club teams as well as neighbors in our community. Your donation to my Eagle project will help me provide WLHS with six permanent composite frames which will house the 55 gallon trash containers, prevent tip-over and prevent litter being strewn over the practice fields. These frames will be built of New TechWood, a non-degradable composite material that is weather- and mold-resistant, meaning that they would not need to be replaced.I am seeking $1500 in donations. Donations will be spent to purchase two packages of ten 16’ long New TechWood boards ($550 each), angle irons and deck screws and other materials to insure structural integrity and installation. The GoFundMe campaign will run from September 22nd to October 7th with the intention of completing construction and installation of the containers by December 1, 2017.
