Wife & mom left by deadbeat husband

You will be helping a young lady that my wife and I have known for years. We also knew her husband who recently left her and their 4 children without warning. This is devastating under any circumstances but it has been particularly painful in this situation. This wife and mother supported him financially, raised the children and encouraged him while he pursued ministry endeavors. Without warning he up and left her and the kids in a terrible situation. The situation has now become dire. The husband took the car and has ruined her credit. The teachers at her children’s school have been picking the kids up for school but this will not be able to continue. She DESPERATELY needs transportation to get her children to school and start a job she has been offered by her children’s school. She has found a vehicle and needs a down payment of $1000.  Since I have started working on this several ladies that have been through similar situations have messaged me and encouraged us to set a goal beyond the car down payment to help her and the kids, I can’t disagree.
