Whole lot of love for Frida Sofia

Frida Sofia has been through more than most of us in the first 3 months of life. She is diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome which is often referred to half a heart. She does not have the 4th chamber which pumps blood to her whole body.
She has has had an open heart surgery her first week of life, then they closed her chest, opened it back up a few days later to do adjustments. A month later she received her big Norwood heart surgery. So she’s already had 3 open heart surgeries and still needs two more for her heart to function similar to yours and mine. Apart from her heart surgeries she’s had 5 other procedures to help her heart function or nutrition to help her grow.
After being in the hospital for 80 days from birth we were finally able to go home! It was absolutely amazing to go home. Sadly we were only home for 2 week when we were hoping for at least a month or two before her next surgery.
We had to go to the ER Monday evening due to low oxygen levels. As the night went on until morning the doctors realized that this was because she was starting to show early signs of heart failure and we were lucky to have caught it early. We are back in PICU at Children’s Memorial Hermann back in our original room.
I was expected to return to work this week and help Eduardo out because he has been an amazing dad and husband carrying this family financially all on his own working really hard. He has done the impossible just to reassure Frida Sofia and I are well and taken care of. I started this GoFundMe to help out with her medical expenses and to help us out a bit with parking, food, and gas.
If you aren’t able to donate do not feel obligated, I just hope you continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers. I got advice from my wonderful boss I should let others help in the time of need. Thank you to all those that have kept praying for her in this long process. We are blessed to have so many people that care and love our little one.
