Frazier's financial assistance
Spende geschützt
Frazier is a 17 year old young man that loves life. He enjoys dancing, playing video games and loves spending time with family and friends. Frazier has been dealing with medical issues since he was 3 months old, and was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) at the age of 4. CF is a progressive, lifelong condition in which the glands that produce mucus, sweat, and intestinal secretions do not function properly. Thick mucus accumulates in the lungs, leading to breathing difficulty and infection. CF also impairs digestion because the mucus prevents the release of digestive enzymes that allow the body to break down food and absorb vital nutrients. Even though Frazier has had many complications and hospitalizations since being diagnosed with this disease it has not changed our faith in believing that he is completely healed.
In November 2014, Frazier was granted his wish to travel to Australia through the “Make a Wish Foundation”. It was an awesome trip; however, Frazier developed a terrible cough on the long plane ride home which caused him to be hospitalized for an extended period of time. We are not sure exactly what caused the cough but since then Frazier has been constantly in and out of the hospital. While in the hospital in December of last year he caught the flu which was one of the worst things that could have happened, as it caused additional complications on top of the existing issues that he was already experiencing with his lungs. He has been in the hospital this year a total of 4 times, each time lasting at least 3 weeks, with the exception of his last stay which had him hospitalized for more than two months and included two minor surgeries including one for a collapsed lung. Frazier spent the majority of his summer in the hospital, but he is doing better and very eager to go to school. This is his "senior" year and he’s looking forward to the excitement that comes along with his last year in high school, including achieving “Best Dressed”. He also has plans of continuing his education at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where he plans to major in Biology with plans of being a Marine Biologist.
I (Sandy Overton- mother), am reaching out to you seeking your financial assistance to help Frazier through his senior year in high school and then college. I am a single parent that just recently graduated with my MBA; however, I have not been able to work due to Frazier’s chronic illness and many hospitalizations. I am eager to start working but that would be extremely difficult at this time, and my son’s well-being is much more important. I pray that after reading his story you will find it in your heart to contribute a donation. No amount is too small; anything your heart desires to give will be greatly treasured. I appreciate each and every one of you for your love and support. May God bless you abundantly!
