West Suffolk Hive CIC

West Suffolk Hive CIC is a newly formed community interest company based in Bury St Edmunds. Our mission is to create a family-centred community space in a natural environment to foster a connection with nature, improve wellbeing and share skills and knowledge. Our aims are: 1) To develop and nurture a community of families who share our values 2) To create a Wellbeing and educational space in a natural environment 3) To find and regenerate an area of land 4) To build and manage an eco community centre We hope to benefit families living in West Suffolk, local wildlife and the environment, therapists and wellbeing services, skilled craftspeople and local businesses. To realise our vision of bringing families together in a safe space to deepen their connection with nature and each other to improve wellbeing and the environment we will need the support of volunteers, partnerships with other local organisations, and financial backing. Our first phase of achieving our aims involves us finding a site to use as a hub, running various community events and workshops and developing skills growing organic fruit and vegetables, trees and wildflowers. We need to raise about £5000 to pay for a lease on a suitable site for three years, and to pay for legal and admin costs.
