Wenis Family Medical and Funeral Expenses

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Christian Wenis. Please keep the Wenis family in your prayers.

If you're able to contribute and/or share this fund, it will support offsetting the costs associated with Chris's treatment and funeral services.

Update (2-8-25)

Wende shared that they have chosen to stop treatment at this time. She was able to secure a place in a hospice setting for Chris, though insurance will not cover all of the costs for this placement. It is the safest, most comfortable place for Chris with Wende needing to remain at work. We will keep you updated on the family and Chris' status.

Hello family, friends, and neighbors. I am creating this GoFundMe to support a dear friend and neighbor, Wende, and her family Chris, Jakob, and Evahn. Chris was diagnosed with cancer in his lung on Christmas Eve 2024. On New Year's Eve, they learned the cancer had spread to numerous organs, including his brain.

Chris was able to complete 10 of the planned 12 radiation treatments, but the side effects hit him hard. He is not able to get chemo.

Chris is currently in the hospital, and his family is trying to make arrangements for more continued care. We are looking to anyone who is able to share even just a few dollars to support the family as they explore hospice supports, as much is not being covered by their insurance.
