AMELIA iS COMING HOME!
Anthony Gentile married my daughter , Jessie Blair in October 2019. When we met Tony we understood why Jessie fell in love with this young man and his beautiful daughter Amelia. They became a part of our family immediately and we knew it was just a matter of time before they would become a family of their own. A lot of you have seen our families posts about Amelia being taken from her father and discovering later that she was actually abducted by her mother in July 2018. She was just 2 years old when she was taken. Tony received a letter from his ex-wife advising him that he would never see his daughter again because she didn’t want to deal with sharing custody. A court date had already been set to adjust custody and Tony was granted full custody and control over Amelia. Tony contacted the National Center for Missing and Exploited children, the police and finally the FBI. The agent assigned to our case was able to track Amelia and her Mom though passports to Tenerife , Spain which is in the Canary Islands. For the past past two years we have had no luck finding them or any information regarding them. In desperation Tony hired a private investigator in Spain who after several months was able to track Amelia and her mother to another island in Spain. Surveillance was set up at the end of July and positive identification was made , Amelia’s mother was arrested and Amelia was taken to child protective services. They are taking great care of her. Tony had to receive special permission from the Spanish Embassy to fly to Spain because Americans are unable to travel there at this time due to the COVID pandemic. As I write this Tony has been with his daughter for the past six days while waiting for the paperwork to take Amelia out the county and back home where she belongs.
As I’m sure you all are aware this has been a huge financial burden for Tony and Jessie. They are expecting their first baby in December and we are estatic Amelia is coming home but they are incurring a lot of expenses. If you are able to make any donation to help with the expenses of airfare, hotels, meals, the private investigator, the days missed from work and the many costs for clothing , shoes, books etc for when Amelia gets home it would be very much appreciated. Thank you for all the shares, cares and prayers during this horrific time for our family. We can’t wait for Tony and Amelia to get home where they both belong.
