Weaving Hopes - Fundraising for the Summer School
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Elisa and I am a PhD student in History of Science at the University of Granada. I focus on reproductive rights, health, and feminisms. I study to understand the world we live in, but also to find spaces where I can imagine it differently.
In recent months, I have often felt overwhelmed, sometimes even desperate: by conflicts, inequalities, systemic violence, and the climate crisis. But instead of staying paralyzed, I decided to look for a direction. To build new alliances, new languages, and new possibilities for thinking.
That’s how I found the Rosi Braidotti Summer School in Utrecht: a summer school that has been working for years on posthuman thought, ethics of hope, and imagining other possible worlds. It is a theoretical and human space where people work on hope, change, and critical thinking as a form of political action. For me, attending this school is not just training: it is the collective construction of another imagination of the world.
The registration fee is 1000 euros, excluding travel and accommodation. I cannot afford it on my own—and I no longer want to pretend that academic precarity is “normal.”
Why I am writing to you:
Because I believe that this gesture—this small campaign—can be a collective act.
If you help me, you are not just sending me to a summer school: you are joining a path that speaks of the future, care, and possibilities.
As a thank you for your support, I’d be happy to give you a tour of Granada, treat you to a drink with tapa, and enjoy some good conversation!
I want to believe that we are not alone in searching for new paths.
And if you cannot donate, you can share. Talk about this. Or just write to me. Join me in this space.
Thank you for being here.
Thank you for imagining another possibility with me.
With energy and gratitude!
