Villanova Nurses DR Trip

Donation protected
On October 11th, 2015, the Villanova University College of Nursing will send a group of students and faculty to La Romana, Dominican Republic to deliver healthcare and to educate the people about different health concerns. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to share our knowledge with the people of the batey communities in the Dominican Republic, and to learn about their unique culture and way of life.

The peoples of the batey communities in La Romana have limited access to health care. Through Hospital El Buen Samaritano, Good Samaritan Hospital, we will provide basic healthcare and administer medication to those in need in the batey communities.

Funds donated to our trip this fall will allow us to sponsor children so they are able to attend school and to purchase medication, teaching models, and other materials that will allow us to provide better care and improve the health of the La Romana community. Please consider donating to our campaign so that we can purchase important medical supplies and help the batey communities in need.
