Fundraiser for Jewish Communities in Greater NY

While everyone is struggling in different ways in these uncertain times, many members in the Jewish community of Lawrence and Far Rockaway, New York simply do not have food to put on the table for their children. Because of the nature of the religious Jewish community, many people have been infected with COVID-19 through communal gatherings like synagogue services or through traditions like kissing a Mezuzah. And unfortunately, these communities, which were already fraught with high unemployment, have seen jobs continue to disappear and aid continue to dry up. It is our job to lend a helping hand and support those in need. 

We have partnered with Rabbi Mordechai Stern who leads the Congregation B’Nei Torah in Lawrence. He is coordinating this anonymous life-saving aid for those in need to the Jewish communities of Lawrence and Far Rockaway. 

Our fundraising goal is $54,000 which will help these two communities provide food through Passover until May 1st.
